SCVTV's Community Corner | ‘Only Rain Down the Storm Drain’ Campaign Highlighting Importance of Storm Drain Cleanliness
|
The “Only Rain Down the Storm Drain” campaign from the City of Santa Clarita’s Environmental Services division is offering an important reminder to residents to keep storm drains free of chemicals, waste, and more. Hear more about this initiative from Environmental Services Manager Darin Seegmiller on this segment from SCVTV’s Community Corner. Pollutants–chemicals, trash, or other–can easily make their way into the Santa Clara River, affecting the health of that natural landscape, as well as affecting local groundwater. The City of Santa Clarita is urging residents to ensure that our storm drains are free of visible and invisible pollutants to help ensure the health of our natural resources for years to come. Between residents doing their part and programs from the City, the team at the Environmental Services Division is hoping to stay true to only letting rain down the storm drains.
