Celebrate one of Hollywood's biggest stars as the Fox Theater in Pomona commemorates the 80th anniversary of "King Kong." It's been 80 years since the release of the original RKO classic and the Friends of the Pomona Fox celebrate with a Kong-sized event including special guests, models, a panel discussion and a special screening of the 1933 feature which set the standard for the contemporary Hollywood action/adventure genre. And celebrate another film classic as Heritage Square Museum unveils "Visions of Oz: A Collection of Art From Over the Rainbow" featuring artistic interpretations based on L Frank Baum's "Wonderful Wizard of Oz." The collection includes the works of more than 100 artists featuring pieces inspired by Baum's many "Oz" books as well as the 1939 MGM musical classic.
