Freeway Closures Scheduled for Rose Parade
Pasadena — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) announces the following closures for the 2009 Pasadena Rose Parade:
Wednesday, December 31 through Thursday, January 1
Glendale Freeway (SR-134)
• 8 p.m. to 11 a.m. — Eastbound Orange Grove Boulevard off-ramp.
• 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. — Westbound Orange Grove Boulevard on-ramp.
Foothill Freeway (I-210)
• 8 p.m. to 6 p.m. — East- and westbound Sierra Madre Boulevard off-ramps.
Long Beach Freeway (SR- 710)
• 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. — Southbound Del Mar Boulevard off-ramp.
• 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. — Northbound Del Mar Boulevard on-ramp.
• 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. — Northbound California Boulevard on-ramp.
Pasadena Avenue
• 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. — Pasadena Avenue from Columbia Street to Del Mar Boulevard.
An encroachment permit has been issued for these event-related closures. Caltrans advises motorists to "Slow For The Cone Zone."
