Community Hiking Club Schedule for November
November 1 — Los Pinetos (Walker Ranch). This 8 mile hike is uphill for the first 3 miles to the ridge. Then you traverse the ridge to the Wilson Saddle, and then return back to Walker Ranch, all downhill. Bring water and snacks. Meet at the Walker Ranch trailhead before 8:30.

November 8 — Towsley Canyon Loop . This is a 5.1 loop with about a 1000 foot gain. Please meet at the first parking lot inside the Towsley gate a little before 8:30 for an 8:30 departure. Matt Nelson will lead the hike. Bring lots of water, lunch and snacks.

November 15 — Gould Mesa to Oakwilde Campground via the Arroyo Seco. 8 miles RT with a 1,000-foot gain, mostly at the end. Meet at Towsley at 8:00 for carpooling to the Angeles Crest Highway . This is a great hike to prepare for Thanksgiving! Terry Morse will lead and Allen Skyler will assist.

November 22 — The Devil’s Chair is a 7 mile hike which includes some altitude and a mild climb. You will love the views, so bring your camera. Allen Skyler will lead this hike from Devil’s Punchbowl to the Chair and back. Meet at Placerita Nature Center at 7:30 if you want to carpool, or 8:30 at Devil’s Punchbowl in the Parking lot. Bring lunch, lots of water, comfortable shoes with lots of grip, poles if you have them, snacks, and your camera. You will definitely want a photo of you out on the chair! (Dianne comes back later today!)

November 29 — Fish Canyon is a gorgeous hike in Castaic. Meet at the OUTSIDE gate of Towsley Canyon by 8:15 for an 8:30 departure to the trail head. The hike can be 5-12 miles or even more, depending upon your ability. You can turn around and head back whenever you need to. The scenery is absolutely outstanding. You might want to bring a camera. The creek will probably be dry, but if it is running, it is all the more lovely. Bring lunch, shoes for water crossings if we have had rain, lots of water and snacks.
