[View Proposed Phase 2 Project Improvements]
Widening work on the south side of Magic Mountain Parkway is approximately 40 percent complete. Part of this work will include widening of the southbound on-ramp and northbound off-ramp. The anticipated completion date for the widening work on Magic Mountain Parkway between The Old Road and Tourney Road is summer of 2009.
Due to the recent rain and additional utility relocation work, the reopening of the southbound on-ramp is extended until the week of March 16, 2009. The contractor is also working on the construction of the northbound off-ramp widening. Detour information for the southbound on-ramp is accessible by clicking on the "Detour Information" link below.
Construction activity for The Old Road realignment is ongoing. The anticipated completion date of this work is early summer 2009. All businesses in the surrounding construction area will remain open during construction activities.
Detours and roadway signs are in place to assist the operational needs of the public. Please proceed with caution. We appreciate motorists' continued patience and attention to the temporary roadway changes during this public improvement.
