City's Sister City Golf Tournament to Raise Funds for the Philippines
Proceeds to go toward Building Hospital for needed Healthcare
On Monday, June 30, golfers will come together to raise funds for Sariaya, Santa Clarita's Sister City located in the Philippines, at the Second Annual Sister Cities Golf Classic Tournament. Registration for the Tournament begins at 9:00 a.m. with the actual Golf Tournament set to begin at 10:00 a.m. at Robinson Ranch.
All proceeds from the this golf tournament will go towards the construction of the first-ever medical clinic in Sariaya, which will serve the indigent poor who currently do not have access to medical facilities.
"By raising these funds, and building this medical clinic for the people of Sariaya we are greatly improving their health and quality of life," said Mayor Bob Kellar.
The Santa Clarita Auto Dealers Association in partnership with the Santa Clarita Valley International Program is sponsoring this event. The Santa Clarita Valley International Program is a local non-profit organization that works on sister cities programs focused on promoting international goodwill, promoting and expanding the effective and mutually beneficial cooperation between the people of Santa Clarita and the people of international cities.
