City Offers No-cost Arts and Crafts Class for Local Youth
The City of Santa Clarita will host a no-cost Arts and Crafts class for local youth 6-9 years of age. Classes will be held Fridays from 11:15 a.m.-12 noon beginning Friday, July 17 through Friday, August 14 at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex Activities Center.
The Arts and Crafts classes celebrate the creativity of local youth by allowing them to build self esteem and express themselves through creative projects. Attendees will participate in pottery painting, planting seeds, making wind chimes and more in the classes.
"The City's no-cost Arts and Crafts classes are a great way for local kids to express themselves in a creative and constructive way," said Councilmember Laurie Ender. "The classes also give local youth the chance to interact with community kids their own age over summer break."
Beginning July 6, residents may visit the Sports Complex Activities Center to sign up and reserve a spot in the Arts and Crafts class. Space is limited and registration is required to ensure a place in the class.
The Sports Complex Activities Center is located at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway. For more information on the Arts and Crafts class, please contact the Activities Center at (661) 250-3703 or visit santa-clarita.com.
