City of Santa Clarita Launches Online Retail Store
The City of Santa Clarita formally launched of its online boutique this month, featuring specialty Santa Clarita-branded items designed to help residents and visitors enjoy the good life in Santa Clarita. SantaClaritaCityStore.com boasts a variety of City-branded items in five signature categories, including: live, work, play, events, and nostalgia. Retail offerings range from a Santa Clarita hat, a commuter mug, street signs, and a Cutter & Buck golf kit, to an emergency preparedness kit for a family of four and a custom Central Bark Dog Kit.
The City's first retail venture is in direct response to demand from residents and visitors interested in purchasing Santa Clarita-branded merchandise. The items reflect Santa Clarita's many amenities and help to promote healthy living.
"For years residents and visitors have requested 'Santa Clarita' branded items, so we developed customized items that complement our high quality of life," said City Manager Ken Pulskamp. "One of our priorities with the online store was also to tie in with local businesses to promote shopping local. We partnered with local businesses to offer specialty items and discounts from local retailers with the purchase of Santa Clarita branded merchandise," he added
Some of the items for sale at SantaClaritaCityStore.com are familiar, including the 20th anniversary history book and Cowboy Festival merchandise. However, most items are debuting for the first time online, including: a "Santa Clarita Baby" Diaper Bag stuffed with a custom hat and one-sie with Made in Santa Clarita imprinted on the shirt. There is also a trails kit for taking advantage of the 60 miles of off-street trails and paseos; as well as a 'Green collection' of environmentally friendly products including a messenger bag with a laptop screen made from post-recycled materials and a 100 percent recycled pad folio.
Through a partnership with the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society, shoppers can purchase a set of note cards featuring historic photos of the community from years gone by. Also available are products specific to City of Santa Clarita special events, such as the Santa Clarita Marathon, Cowboy Festival, and Street Art Festival, among others.
