Freeway Ramp Opening Delayed Until Jan. 13
The City of Santa Clarita is announcing delays on the I-5 construction closures at Magic Mountain Parkway, which are part of the City's intersection and freeway ramps expansion project. Due to the recent severe winter weather conditions, the re-opening of the southbound off-ramp and northbound on-ramp will be extended to January 13, 2009.
Businesses in the surrounding construction areas will remain open through the construction and there will be detour signs posted for alternate routes along I-5 southbound, Magic Mountain Parkway and other surface streets leading to the I-5 northbound. Motorists can also use exits and entrances to Interstate I-5 via The Old Road, Magic Mountain Parkway, State Route 126, Rye Canyon Road and Valencia Boulevard.
