CTG Replacing "42nd Street" with "Forum"
Due to production issues beyond the control of the CTG, we are replacing "Forty-Second Street" with another musical. The show that we have chosen is one of the funniest musical comedies ever written. It has not been done in the SCV in a dozen years. It features the incredible music of the incomparable Stephen Sondheim. We know that everyone needs some laughter especially at this time, so the CTG is proud to present "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum."
For those who are interested in auditioning for "Forum" there is one last chance this Sunday, March 15 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Come prepared with 16 bars of a show tune, bring your own CD or tape accompaniment, and be prepared to dance. There are no children in this show, but roles for adults of all ages. Auditions are at the CTG, 24242 Main St., Newhall. If you have already auditioned for "Forty-Second Street" there is no need to re-audition as callbacks will include those who have already been seen.
Music! Music! Music! Rock and Roll! If you love music and want to support local live music, come to the SCV Concert Series at the CTG presented by Rock the Denim and Gift of Song. The doors open at 6:30 PM, and admission is only $10 per person. This evening will feature Open Mic from 7 to 8 PM and then the musicians, Nikki Kilker, 100 Ft. Snow Men and the B4 Band will entertain you. There will be a cash bar, and a great evening of music.
Junior Cabaret Auditions — "Fairy Tales Can Come True" If you know of a young performer (under 18) who would like to be a part of this year's Junior Cabaret, auditions are Saturday, March 14. Please call Keri Mowry at 513-1333 for audition times. The Junior Cabaret is a great fundraiser for our new Santa Clarita Children's Theatre which we will be building in the historic Newhall Auditorium. Junior Cabaret is on May 2nd.
"A Chorus Line" Is a Hit If you have not yet seen this hit adult production presented by the Santa Clarita Regional Theatre at the Performing Arts Center at COC, make your reservation now! There are only four performances left. It closes on March 21. Call 799-2702.
