Catch the Premiere of House Blend No. 25, with Sara Niemietz and the Kai Clark Band
Dear Friend,
Saugus High School graduate Sara Niemietz takes center stage on this week's House Blend.
Sara
joins House Blend host Stephen K. Peeples for a one-on-one interview
and performs a couple of original tunes with Emmy award-winning composer
and musician, W.G. Snuffy Walden, on guitar. Niemietz made her Broadway debut as young Carol Burnett in Hollywood Arms, at age 10. She's appeared on shows like "Glee" (FOX), "Providence" (NBC), "First Monday" (CBS), and "Gilmore Girls" (The WB).
Sara is followed by Kai Clark this week on House Blend.
Growing
up with Gene Clark of The Byrds as his father, Kai Clark has been
influenced by one of the most creative and unique song writers the world
has ever known.
Hear his story and see an amazing performance by The Kai Clark Band this week,
only on SCVTV.
"House Blend" starts at 10p on Saturday, July 30, on SCVTV and SCVTV.com.

Rio TV Learns Post-Production at SCVTV
Rio
Norte Junior High School's brand new video production club, Rio TV,
traveled to Newhall this week to learn non-linear editing on
state-of-the-art editing software.
About a dozen seventh and eighth-graders spent their week at
the SCVTV Media Center learning to edit video on Final Cut Pro. They're
producing an orientation video that will be seen by new students and
parents during summer check-in.
Last week SCVTV staff members
joined more than 40 ASB and Rio TV students on the campus of Rio Norte
to teach them the basics of pre-production and production
techniques.
Students worked in small groups to
script, story-board and tape short films and Public Service
Announcements aimed to inform new students and parents of school rules,
upcoming events and on-campus clubs.
Their
summer projects wrapped up this week at the SCVTV Media Center as the
students learned the process of post-production in a digital world.
Rio TV is led by Rio Norte science teacher Jase St. Peter.
The
program introduces junior high school students to video production
terms, techniques and practices. This year's Rio TV students will be the
first to produce a live morning announcements program at Rio Norte
Junior High School.

SCVTV Page Is the Place for News Updates
Is
it possible to have too many friends? Yes, if you use Facebook. Since
the popular social networking site caps "Friends" at 5,000 -- and we
reached that plateau more than a year ago - we have asked Facebook
Friends to migrate to our nonprofit business page, "SCVTV: Local
Television for Santa Clarita," which can have unlimited
subscribers. If you want breaking news as it happens, and to see what's new on SCVTV, you'll want to "Like" our business page. Go to the SCVTV.com website and the Facebook icon will take you there.
You
can no longer get news updates from our old "SCVTV Santa Clarita"
