Local Children Receive Free Dental Services
A free dental clinic for local low income children will be held on Friday, November 7th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Canyon Country and Valencia. Sponsored by the Foundation for Children's Dental Health, charter member-dentists of the "Smile Coalition" have come together to serve needy children in the community.
At no cost, Dr. Amy Monti of Adventure Dental at 18580 Via Princessa, Suite 3 in Canyon Country and Drs. Rose Kim and Kathleen Mulcahey of Valencia Children's Dental Group at 27885 Smyth Drive in Valencia will be treating approximately 55 children who have been pre-identified through the Foundation's dental screenings and who have no dental care access or resources. All the children are students at public elementary schools throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.
Currently celebrating 15 years of service to the community's most disadvantaged children, the Foundation for Children's Dental Health has taken the opportunity of this watershed year to begin the new "Smile Coalition" partnership between the Foundation and local volunteer dentists. Drs. Monti, Kim and Mulcahey will be volunteering their facilities, their expertise and their talents to serve this very special group of children.
