Donate to the SCV Food Pantry
The Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry has been distributing food to low-income families in the Santa Clarita Valley for the past 22 years. Due to the current economic climate, the SCV Food Pantry has experienced a 58% increase in the number of those seeking assistance over the same period last year. 5,000 unique clients received our services from 1/1-11/31/08. More and more families are struggling to put food on their tables.
At year end, many people evaluate their tax situation and make donations to appropriate charities to lessen their tax burden for the coming year. At the SCV Food Pantry, we believe that your tax-deductible year-end donation is a double blessing. Not only does it relieve your tax burden but it also helps relieve the burden of parents who otherwise would watch their children go hungry or it helps put food on the table of our senior citizen clients living on fixed incomes. Many of these senior citizens face the decision at the end of each month whether to purchase their prescription medications required or the food that they need.
We always appreciate donations of non-perishable food items. However, your monetary donation will provide us with the flexibility to purchase the food items needed to provide a nutritious and balanced package of supplemental food to our neighbors in need.
We thank you in advance for partnering with us in the commitment that "no child in the Santa Clarita Valley should go to bed hungry."
Wishing you the Happiest of Holidays,
