Henry Mayo Hospital Holds Disaster Resource Center Open House
What: Opportunity to view Henry Mayo’s Disaster Resource Center (DRC) surge tent, evacuation equipment, decontamination equipment, and much more.

Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital is one of 13 Disaster Resource Centers (DRC) in the Los Angeles County. Developed by L.A. County Department of Health Services Emergency Medical Services Agency (EMSA) and funded through the federal government’s Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP), the Disaster Resource program enhances the ability of L.A. County hospitals to prepare and respond to health emergencies, whether natural or man-made, including mass casualty incidents.
During the Open House, attendees will have the opportunity to view the surge tent, decontamination equipment, deployable resources to assist other hospitals, and much more. Please join us to learn more about Henry Mayo Hospital’s Disaster Resource Center, our relationships with other community hospitals, and our ability to provide care to our community in the aftermath of a disaster.
