Healthcare Businesses Reach Out to Community
Health & Wellness Fair Informs Community On Local Services
VALENCIA, CA (December 22, 2008) — The Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will host its first Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, January 31, 2009 from 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The event, which is free to the community, will be held at College of the Canyons.
More than 30 healthcare professionals and businesses have joined the Chamber’s Health Care Committee to plan the event. Its purpose is to heighten community awareness of healthcare resources and education available in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Platinum Sponsors for the event include Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital and The Signal. Gold sponsors are KHTS AM 1220 Radio, the Magazine of SCV and Providence Holy Cross; Bronze Sponsors include Aligned Health and Comfort Keepers.
The Health & Wellness Fair will feature the following: FREE health screenings, health and fitness vendors with information and give-aways, chiropractic screenings, and much more. Healthcare professionals will also be on hand to answer questions and provide mini health education lectures.
The health fair will be an excellent opportunity for local businesses to reach out to the community. Vendor tables are available for $150 (SCV Chamber members) and $250 (non-members).
Businesses can increase their marketing exposure through sponsorship opportunities; in addition, vendor fees are waived for all sponsors. Sponsorship levels include: $500 Bronze; $1,000 Silver; $2,500 Gold; and $5,000 Platinum. Sponsorship folders can be picked up at the Chamber reception desk.
