Providence Holy Cross Cancer Centers Team With UCLA Radiation Therapy Physicians
MISSION HILLS (March 2, 2009) Providence Holy Cross Medical Center has entered into a relationship with the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology, with the intent of enhancing the quality of radiation therapy services offered by Providence in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys.
Effective in May, the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology will provide professional physician services at the Providence Holy Cross Cancer Centers in Mission Hills and Santa Clarita. Until then, Providence will continue working with its current partner, Valley Radiotherapy Associates.
This UCLA relationship will provide Providence Holy Cross patients with access to high quality clinical care and cutting-edge radiation therapy associated with the renowned academic medical center. Providence and UCLA will build on existing relationships UCLA has created within the communities served by Providence Holy Cross.
"As a fellow member of the UCLA faculty, we are honored to work with the tremendous team at UCLA to enhance our services here at Providence Holy Cross," said Shamel Sanani, M.D., chief of staff at Providence Holy Cross and medical director of cancer services. "This new collaboration will bring new, state-of-the-art technologies and protocols to ensure the best possible care for our patients."
