Two SCV Jaycees Recognized as Outstanding Young Californians by California Jaycee Foundation
The Santa Clarita Valley Jaycees are pleased to announce that two of its members have been recognized as Outstanding Young Californians for 2009. Selected by the California Jaycee Foundation and California Junior Chamber, Jason Price and Courtney Bourdas Henn, are part of an exclusive group of individuals recognized as “outstanding” for their commitment to challenge and inspire California's youth.
On Saturday, April 4, 2009 at the Irvine Marriott, the California Jaycees will celebrate the success of Jason and Courtney as well as the rest of this year's honorees, which include:

This award has been given out for over 50 years by the California Jaycees. Some of the past honorees have included: Jenna Yeager, flight innovator; Dave Stewart, Oakland A's baseball player and “Sugar” Shane Mosley, professional boxer.
Past SCV Jaycees members to earn this honor include: Cameron Smyth, State Assemblyman; Kieran Wong, founder of the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund; Jill Jackson, entrepreneur; Michael Owston, REP Artistic Director; and April Price and Jenny Ketchepaw, community advocates.
The Irvine Marriott Hotel is located at 18000 Von Karman, Irvine, CA 92612. There is a cocktail hour at 6:00pm with the dinner/program beginning at 7:00pm. Dress is black tie optional.
