Deputies Nab Armed Man after Altercation
Sunday, August 24, 2008 12:40 a.m. Canyon Country:
Deputies responded to reports of a man with a gun at the Londoner Bar at 18136 Soledad Canyon Road, Canyon Country, early Sunday morning. The man had reportedly been involved in a verbal and physical altercation with one of the staff members at the location. The man allegedly walked to the rear parking lot and returned with a handgun, pointing it at the victim. He then fled the location.
Deputies patrolling the area approximately one hour later spotted a man matching the description walking on Soledad Canyon Road near Sierra Highway. The deputies detained the man and report that they recovered a loaded handgun in his pants pocket. The suspect, Michael Zloczewski, MW/48, transient, was identified as the same man who had been at the Londoner Bar earlier in the night. The man was arrested without incident.
He was booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station on a felony charge of Possession of an Unregistered Firearm, and misdemeanor charges of Battery, Carrying a Loaded Firearm in Public, Brandishing a Firearm in a Threatening Manner and Carrying a Concealed Firearm. He is being held in lieu of $35,000 bail pending future court proceedings. No one was injured.
