Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff Station's Burglary and Theft team are reaching out in an attempt to locate the rightful owners of jewelry and other property which was apparently taken during residential burglaries in the Saugus and Valencia areas and was recovered by detectives during recent arrests of burglary suspects and subsequent search warrant operations.
Detectives have already contacted many of the victims, whose homes were burglarized between May and September 2009, but much of the property has still gone unclaimed. Every effort is being made to return the property to its rightful owners. Detectives have compiled a photo book of the property. Any resident in the areas outlined on the map below who has filed a burglary report with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station between May and September 2009 can bring their report number and description of the item to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's at 23740 Magic Mountain Parkway, Santa Clarita, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., now through the end of October. After verification they will be allowed to look through the book of property for their missing item(s).
