McKeon Names New Military Legislative Assistant and "New Media" Coordinator
Washington, D.C. Rep. Howard P. "Buck" McKeon (R-Santa Clarita) today announced two new additions to his Washington D.C. team. Ryan Crumpler joins the staff as the new Military Legislative Assistant, while Robert McAlister takes on the role of "New Media" Coordinator.
Crumpler, a five-year Congressional staffer, previously worked for Rep. Mac Thornberry's office (R-TX) where he managed House Armed Services Committee issues, appropriations issues, and served as the liaison to military installations. Crumpler graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Business Management.
Robert McAlister will be filling a brand new position as New Media Coordinator. McAlister served on the campaign of Governor Bobby Jindal (R-LA) in 2007 as the New Media Coordinator and will be heading up McKeon's internet operations and Web outreach. McAlister has a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Louisiana State University.
"I am excited about the new dynamic in my Washington, D.C. office with the addition of our two newest team members. With the numerous military instillations in the 25th Congressional District of California, the military legislative role is a critical one, and Ryan brings strong practical experience to the position," McKeon said.
"I am particularly energized about the New Media Coordinator role I have added to the office team. With Robert's help and experience, I hope to harness the best technology available to communicate better with my constituents through the Internet and other new ways," McKeon continued.
