Young Musicians Demonstrate Their Skills
Santa Clarita, CA — The Newhall School District showcases its students’ musical progress in Winter and Spring
Concerts. Students’ artistic skills are the result of the district’s 30 year old music program.
Hundreds of parents, grandparents, siblings and friends attend this series of concerts to beam
with pride as their young musicians demonstrate their growing skills. Students involved in upper
grade choral programs also have the opportunity to perform at these popular events.
The Winter Concert features intermediate and advanced instrumental music students.
Intermediate students have been working on two and three part arrangements and extended note
ranges. Advanced students play full band and orchestral arrangements of holiday classics.
Due to the large number of participating students from across the district the concerts are
performed by school on different evenings. All concerts take place at 6:30PM, in the multi-
purpose room at Wiley Canyon Elementary School, 24250 W. La Glorita Circle, Newhall.
Old Orchard, Valencia Valley, and Oak Hills Schools students perform on December 16th;
Stevenson Ranch, Newhall, McGrath, and Peachland Schools students perform on December
17th; and students from Meadows, Pico Canyon, and Wiley Canyon perform on December 18th.
