Flash Flood Watch Remains in Effect for Burn Areas
    FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE RECENT BURN AREAS OF SANTA BARBARA...VENTURA...AND LOS ANGELES COUNTIES THROUGH THIS EVENING...
    OUR STORM SYSTEM IS CURRENTLY CENTERED JUST OFF THE CALIFORNIA COAST WEST OF PT. CONCEPTION. SHOWERS ARE WIDESPREAD ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA WITH FOCUS AT THIS TIME OVER SANTA BARBARA COUNTY...CLOSER TO THE LOW CENTER. OUR STORM WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS WITH NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUING THROUGH THIS EVENING. POCKETS OF HIGH INTENSITY RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE FORECAST AREA WITH THE POTENTIAL FOR RAINFALL RATES EXCEEDING ONE HALF INCH PER HOUR. THUS...THERE WILL CONTINUE TO BE A RISK FOR FLASH FLOODS AND DEBRIS FLOWS IN AND NEAR RECENTLY BURNED AREAS. THE FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS FOR THESE AREAS ONLY.
