And Then There Were None
Agatha Christie Strikes Again at the REP
The Repertory East Playhouse will end its 2008 Season with the highly anticipated return of Agatha Christie's murder mystery, "And Then There Were None," Sponsored by Terry Bleeker and Gem Mortgage. This is considered one of Christie's finest plays and will leave you guessing until the very end.
"And Then There Were None" opens on Friday, November 14th, with an Opening Night Gala wine and cheese reception at 7:00pm and curtain at 8:00pm. Opening Night Gala is sponsored by Travel Center Santa Clarita with wine and food sponsored by Loose Goose Wine Festival and RSVP Catering.
The show will run through December 13th. Show times are Friday and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm. Tickets are $17, $15 for students and seniors. Advanced reservations are highly recommended. For tickets, purchase online at www.repeastplayhouse.org or call 661-288-0000. The REP is located at 24266 Main Street Newhall, CA. 91321.
Artistic Director Ovington Michael Owston reveals, "The impact is magnificent... Just when you think you know who the killer is... Agatha Christie pulls her signature knock out punch. It's truly remarkable and we are proud to be ending our 2008 Season with such a fabulous play."
In this suspense thriller (originally titled "Ten Little Indians") statuettes of little soldier boys on the mantel of a house on an island off the coast of Devon fall to the floor and break one by one as those in the house succumb to a diabolical avenger. A nursery rhyme tells how each of the ten "soldiers" met his death until there were none. Eight guests who have never met each other or their apparently absent host and hostess are lured to the island and, along with the two house servants, marooned. A mysterious voice accuses each of having gotten away with murder and then one drops dead — poisoned. One down and nine to go!
The REP will host two post show discussions on Sunday November 16 and November 23 immediately following the show. Join the cast and crew for an intimate discussion about the process of creating live theatre.
The REP is proud to announce its Adopt a Character Program. Adopt your favorite character online at www.repeastplayhouse.org. Your tax deductible contribution will help clothe, feed, and provide fuel for your character.
Director Mikee Schwinn has once again assembled a fine cast including Bill Quinn, Daniel Lench, Marla Khayat, Leila Zia, Nolan LeGault, Ron Kari, Steven "Nanook" Burkholder, Tony Cicchetti, Travis Beaty, Adrian Iles, and Donna Marie Sergi.
