SCRT Presents the Award-Winning "A Chorus Line"
    "A Chorus Line," winner of nine Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize, is coming to the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at COC on February 28th, for six performances only. This celebration of the chorus dancers, who are the unsung heroes of the American Musical Theatre, became one of Broadway's longest running shows and is currently on a revival tour.
    Co-Directors TimBen Boydston and Patti Finley have assembled a cast of outstanding performers for this stunning production, including local actress/dancer, Denise Plummer, who is appearing through the courtesy of Actors Equity Association. Starring in the role of Cassie, Denise has appeared as a member of the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes and on tour in "Mame," "Will Roger's Follies," and "Showboat," as well as in professional productions of "Sugar Babies," "Paint Your Wagon," "Evita," and "She Loves Me."
    Featured as Val ("Dance Ten, Looks Three"), is Amber Bregmeier who has appeared in Regional productions of "Big" the Musical, "Fiddler on the Roof," "Crazy for You," "Annie Warbucks," and "Will Rogers Follies." The role of Zach, the director, is being played by Jarod Scott who, in addition to local appearances has also been seen on film, in television and on stage in Los Angeles theatres. Rena Bailey-Barrett who is featured as wisecracking Sheila, also has an extensive resume as a professional dancer and choreographer.
    Others in the cast Shanna Beauchamp as Richie, Nikki Berra as Diana Morales, Shannon Bouknight as BeBe, Melissa Joy Castro as Connie, Rebecca Coombs as Judy, Joshua DiPaola as Mark, Tim Kendall as Greg, Jill Kocalis as Maggie, Ryan Massey as Al, Spencer Moreno as Bobby, Charlie Nash as Mike, Christina Noland as Kristine, Hebert Pabon as Paul, Joe Roselund as Don, Jillann Tarara as Shari and Mark Nager as Roy. Ensemble members include Caroline Amsler, Kimberly Andrade, Olivia Andrade, Olivia Jhaveri, Emily Kendall, Marissa Mayer, Ariella Roughton who plays Tricia, and Hannah Vaughan.
    "A Chorus Line" is being choreographed by Nancy Alterman who has appeared in the show on the International Tour as well as in Los Angeles. She also performed in "West Side Story" and has choreographed over 20 musical productions. Leslie Berra is Assistant Director and co-vocal director with Tamarah Ashton-Coombs and the live orchestra will be under the direction of Patricia Graham.
    Tickets to the First Nighter's Club's Golden Circle on opening night are $100 each and feature a catered buffet dinner and wine and the home of Harold and Jacquelyn Petersen, followed by the opening night performance where guests will be seated in the "Golden Circle" (the most preferred seating at the PAC). Additional performances at the PAC are at 8:00 PM on February 28, March 14, March 20 and March 21. There are 2:00 PM matinees on March 1 and March 15. Ticket prices range from $12 to $30, and reservations may be made by calling the SCRT box office at (661) 799-2702.
