Read With Me: Volunteers needed to read with children
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for two hours, one or two mornings a week. Grandparent minded people especially sought after. However, anyone over the age of 18 who love books and children would be greatly appreciated.
Beginning September 2008 in selected elementary schools, this program is designed to improve students’ reading and comprehension skills. Volunteers work either one-on-one or in small groups with students who are reading below grade level.
