Education Foundation Seeks Volunteers for Literacy Program
The SCV Education Foundation is seeking volunteers to work with students in local elementary schools to improve their reading skills.
As a READ WITH ME! literacy volunteer, you will work with students one-on-one or in small groups to assist with improving reading skills such as word accuracy, fluency, and reading comprehension. You may also be assisting with math, writing and other projects.
With your assistance, students will improve their reading skills and greatly benefit from receiving individualized attention. You will have the opportunity to impact a child's life, gain a new friend, and a new sense of purpose.
