SCV Historical Society to Present Class by Renowned Historian & Columnist John Boston
John Boston and the SCV Historical Society are looking for a few good men and as many good women as possible. The exact ratio is unimportant.
Boston will be offering his exciting, entertaining and authoritative 10-week lecture series on the History of the Santa Clarita Valley beginning in March or early April.
As in years past, Boston will take his students to a new location each week.
"We live in one of the most historically significant communities in America," noted Boston. "We were home to epic range wars, movie stars and mafia bosses. The first gold rush in California was here and Santa Clarita's story is one of being the Navel of the Universe."
Boston is the recipient of the prestigious Will Rogers Lifetime Humanitarian Achievement Award and has received more than 100 major national, regional and California awards for writing excellence. He is recognized as one of America's top columnists and humorists.
In April, Arcadia Publishing will be launching "The Santa Clarita Valley" in its "Images of America" series. The $21.99 book was authored by Boston and is a historical look at our valley.
