Flickers at the Junction - Oct. 4
It's time once again for FLICKERS AT THE JUNCTION* at Heritage Junction in Newhall!
On Saturday, October 4 at 6:30 PM, the Santa Clarita Valley Historical Society will proudly present two wonderful silent films to kick-off the Halloween season. We will start off with the hilarious Buster Keaton short "THE HAUNTED HOUSE" followed by the 1925 Lon Chaney horror classic "PHANTOM OF THE OPERA".
As always, our friend 95-year-old Bob Mitchell will be manning the keyboards. A special guest will also be on-hand - fellow nonagenarian Carla Laemmle, who will tell us what it was like to appear in "Phantom" when she was 16-years-old!
This film will be presented OUTDOORS next to the historic Saugus Train Station at Heritage Junction in Newhall. The gates will open at 6:00 with the films to begin at dark. Feel free to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets as it may be a bit chilly.
The cost for the evening is only $5, which includes a free bag of popcorn!
Heritage Junction is located next to the William S. Hart Park at 24107 Newhall Avenue. If you need further information, please contact Pat Saletore at 661.254.1275 or check the website at www.scvhs.org.
We look forward to seeing you all at the Flickers!
* "Flickers at the Junction" is the new name of the "Friday Night Flickers" program. It will be the same great entertainment, just on a different night.
