Canyon Road and Sierra Highway" - and they'll be discussing it behind
closed doors just prior to a public airing of the issue at Tuesday
night's City Council meeting. |

B. Keysor Jr., who represented parts of the Santa Clarita and San
Fernando valleys in the state Assembly from 1970 to 1978, has died. He
was 86. No sooner was he elected than his district was rocked by the
1971 Sylmar earthquake. He rewrote seismic safety laws that stayed on
the books for more than 20 years... |

 JPL Exposes Future Astronauts to Mars Representatives
from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory at Caltech in Pasadena satiated
the curiosity of some 1,500 kids across the SCV this week as they
brought their hands-on education program into local schools. Friday it
was Christ Lutheran Preschool's turn. JPL's Dennis Young says it's this
generation - kids in preschool and kindergarten today - who will likely
be the first to set foot on the Red Planet. |
