Blast from the Past: Behind the Camera

If you're a regular (or even a casual) reader, you probably know
actress Tippi Hedren rescues "big cats" at her Shambala Preserve in
Acton. One thing that's fun about this 1985 photograph is what you don't
see. The man behind the camera is Ken Lubas. A decade later, Ken would
win two Pulitzer Prizes for photojournalism (L.A. Riots, Northridge
Earthquake). Ken has been the official photographer of the annual Hart
of the West (Newhall) Powwow since its inception; today he is based in
Santa Clarita where he is pursuing his passion - and talent - as a
fine-art photographer. |
