Blast from the Past: Behind the Camera
If you're a regular (or even a casual) reader, you probably know actress Tippi Hedren rescues "big cats" at her Shambala Preserve in Acton. One thing that's fun about this 1985 photograph is what you don't see. The man behind the camera is Ken Lubas. A decade later, Ken would win two Pulitzer Prizes for photojournalism (L.A. Riots, Northridge Earthquake). Ken has been the official photographer of the annual Hart of the West (Newhall) Powwow since its inception; today he is based in Santa Clarita where he is pursuing his passion - and talent - as a fine-art photographer.
