body of Mike Herdman, the missing firefighter from Arcadia, was found
Friday in a wilderness area north of Fillmore. He'd gone missing June 13
while on a camping trip. Volunteers and professionals from numerous

School Board to Appoint Winkler Replacement |  Saugus
Union School District officials voted 4-0 Thursday for an appointment
process to replace ousted school board member Stephen Winkler. The move
comes about a year after the board began trying to remove him from
office on grounds he didn't live in the district. It took this long for

Woman Accepts Charge in DUI Fatality on Old Road | Suzette
L. Crockett, 46, of Stevenson Ranch, pleaded no contest Friday in
connection with a fatal DUI crash last year on The Old Road that killed a
Lake View Terrace man. A "no contest" plea is the same as "guilty" in a
criminal court but can't be used to prejudice a subsequent civil
