Supes OK Minimum Wage Hike for Unincorporated County

Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted 3-2 Tuesday to raise the minimum wage in stages from $9 to $15 an hour by 2020. Supervisor Mike Antonovich voted "no." The wage hike applies only to the county's unincorporated territories (including Stevenson Ranch, Castaic, Agua Dulce, Acton) and not to incorporated cities such as Santa Clarita. READ STORY

Disney and the rest of the  board of California Institute of the Arts had their eyes on a 60-acre site in the New Town of Valencia and were looking to raise $54 million to bring their plans to fruition.
