SCV Stuntman Shawn Robinson Found Dead in
New Orleans Hotel Room

Veteran stuntman Shawn Robinson, 41, of Santa Clarita, was found dead last week in his hotel room in New Orleans after he failed to show up for work on the set of the Peter Berg film, "Deepwater Horizon." Lionsgate released a statement Friday expressing condolences to his family and calling him "a gifted stunt performer and a beloved and trusted member of our crew."

Fuel Spill Locks Up Southbound I-5l
A SigAlert was issued Friday night for the southbound I-5 freeway at Calgrove Boulevard after a traffic collision caused diesel fuel to be spilled across all lanes.
Heath Retiring from McGrath School
 
The Newhall School District is pleased to announce the hiring of five administrators for the 2015-16 school year.  Carla Hicks, formerly Assistant Principal of Stevenson Ranch Elementary School, will lead McGrath Elementary.  She succeeds longtime NSD administrator Larry Heath, who is retiring. 
Supes to Authorize $1 Mil. for Flood Control Measures

A motion by L.A. County Mayor Michael D. Antonovich calls for an immediate investigation, disciplinary action, and a zero-tolerance policy in light of reports that a Department of Animal Care and Control employee posted gruesome photos of dead animals on the Internet.
