Local Teenager Arrested Over Online Threats     
A 15-year-old Golden Valley High School student was arrested Sunday morning after threatening posts appeared overnight on social media platforms. Law enforcement officials said they believe the youth acted alone and that he did not have firearms in his possession. Nonetheless, a heightened law enforcement presence should be expected on Hart District campuses today.
CSUN Prof: Stereotypes Hinder Women in Construction
The sexual revolution has seen women progress from the secretarial pool to being presidents of corporations and universities. Women are making inroads in fields not thought possible just decades ago, except in a few areas - including the building trades. If a woman wants to work in construction, CSUN professor Amy Denissen says, there is often an assumption that she is a lesbian.

Blast from the Cinematic Past: Squaw Man (1914)  
William S. Hart brought bad-guy Cash Hawkins to life on Broadway in the 1905 stage version of "The Squaw Man," but Hart never did any of the three film versions. The most notable celluloid version starred another Broadway legend who came to Hollywood in the same year as Hart (1914), namely Dustin Farnum. This one was also Cecil B. DeMille's directorial debut.
