Pair Sentenced in Deadly 2012 Crash  

Two young men - Colt Doherty and Thomas Vensko - were sentenced Thursday in connection with the death of Dakota Demott (shown) on Sand Canyon Road. Doherty, the driver of the car in which Demott was riding, got six years while Vensko, whom he was racing, was ordered to jail.

Magic Mountain Execs Outline This Year's Fright Fest 

Six Flags Magic Mountain gave up the ghost on this year's Fright Fest during a panel discussion Thursday. Vault 666 is a maze that is a "genetics lab gone wrong" where the faculty turns out to have human mutants to scare the the audience. A number of other mazes plus more crafts for kids, a Voodoo Night live music dance party and Toyz Terror in 3D are in the lineup. One popular Halloween attraction, Colossus running backward, isn't happening.
