Improving Lives Through Equestrian Therapy
Agua Dulce was the place to be Saturday night as Carousel Ranch hosted its 19th annual Heart of the West fundraising dinner and auction in its newly covered arena. The hundreds of supporters lucky enough to secure a ticket to the sold-out event - held on the organization's own grounds for the first time - got a special treat in the form a demonstration showcasing the amazing work Carousel Ranch does to improve the lives of special-needs children and young adults through equestrian therapy.  PHOTO GALLERY

Dozens of Santa Clarita residents and veterans came to the Santa Clarita Rotary Garden Saturday morning to honor many of the Santa Clarita Valley's fallen military service members.
Garamendi Bill Would Restrict
Private Drones from Fires, Airports 
The proposed congressional legislation would make it a federal offense to fly a commercial or private drone over an airport or active wildfire. The legislation is in direct response to several incidents in California where private drones observing wildfires forced firefighting agencies to postpone air response out of fear of collision.  
Feinstein, Boxer Endorse Pavley's Climate Bills 
U.S. Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer came out in support of two major climate and clean energy bills that are before the state Legislature, SB 32 and SB 350, and sent an open letter to members of the California State Assembly.
