No homes are located within the Bouquet Canyon Road closure area, Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich's planning deputy said Thursday, adding that Vasquez Canyon Road will reopen in two weeks.  READ STORY
State Releases Court-Ordered Analysis of Newhall Ranch 

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife released the Draft Additional Environmental Analysis for the Newhall Ranch Resource Management and Development Plan and Spineflower Conservation Plan Final Environmental Impact Report on Thursday.   
 
Newhall Ranch Owner to Offset Emissions Through On-Site Green Initiatives and Off-Site Funding

To minimize its carbon footprint, Newhall Ranch owner Five Point will add electric vehicles and charging stations on its SCV property and fund projects elsewhere, such as the reduction of methane emissions from a California dairy farm and deforestation in sub-Saharan Africa.  
 
Van Hook to be Honored at Sold-Out Zonta Tribute 
A sold-out crowd is expected to gather in the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Hotel this Friday evening, Nov. 4, for the annual Tribute to Women dinner sponsored by Zonta Club of the Santa Clarita Valley.

Saturday's Health and Fitness Expo will be hosted outdoors in an expanded area along Town Center Drive at the Westfield Valencia Town Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
