Jan. 3: Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival Tickets Go on Sale
Tickets for the 24th Annual Santa Clarita Cowboy Festival go on sale Tuesday, January 3. The Cowboy Festival takes over Old Town Newhall April 19-23 with the sights, sounds and swagger of Cowboy Life. Attendees will be surrounded by life on the American Frontier as performers serenade, vendors serve up BBQ treats and merchants offer one-of-a-kind gear and goods. Leading up to the two day festival and scheduled shows at the Canyon Theatre Guild and the Repertory East Playhouse, there is a full menu of entertainment available.  READ STORY

City, Waste Management Offer Free Curbside Christmas Tree Recycling
 
The city of Santa Clarita and Waste Management are offering free curbside Christmas tree recycling through January 14, 2017 for all residents located in the Santa Clarita city limits.
   
 Curiosity Show 8: California Kelp Forest Fishes 
The L.A. County Natural History Museum's Curiosity Show, dives into one of LA's nearby forests, the kelp forest! Off our coast, huge kelp beds thrive and support a whole variety of sea creatures. We tour the fish collection at NHM and meet the rockfish, Garibaldi and bat rays that call the kelp home, as well as some tropical fish and sharks that visit during El Nino.   WATCH
