Assemblyman Smyth to Co-host Small Business Fair
Assemblyman Smyth will be co-hosting a Small Business Fair in Santa Clarita on September 24 in conjunction with Senators George Runner (17th District) and Tom McClintock (19th District), and with the leadership of Board of Equalization Member Bill Leonard (BOE 4th District). The Fair begins at 9:00 a.m. with comments from Assemblyman Smyth and Board Member Leonard and is located at the Embassy Suites, 28508 Westinghouse Place, Valencia, 91355.
This fair is a special event designed to assist small businesses. Various federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as other organizations that support small businesses, provide a full day of training in areas that small businesses need most. "There is a lot of uncertainty right now in the market place and business community," said Assemblyman Smyth. "I am pleased to work with my colleagues in the Senate and thank Bill Leonard for his leadership in organizing this event."
"Small business is the backbone of California's economy and I stand ready to assist wherever I can. This Fair will be a great venue for small business owners and I strongly encourage them to attend and take advantage of the resources provided."
In addition, the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce, the Valley Industry Association, and the College of the Canyons Small Business Development Center will have a presence at the Fair.
