Tuesday and Thursday T'ai Chi Ch'uan Class Open to New Students in April
New students will be accepted for the 3-4 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday T'ai Chi class at the Senior Center beginning April 7. Students will join this highly successful ongoing class. Instructor C.C. Chang has been teaching T'ai Chi at the Center since 1999. All ages are welcome; loose clothing and flat shoes are recommended. The class fee is $2 for Seniors, $4 for nonseniors. For maximum benefit, new students should plan to attend two days per week.
The many benefits of learning and practicing T'ai Chi are known to be improved balance, blood pressure, flexibility, physical and mental health, and it can be especially helpful to arthritis sufferers. These benefits apply to all age groups, but especially to seniors.
For more information, call C.C. Chang at 661-252-3337 or the Senior Center at 661-259-9444. The Senior Center also offers a Saturday morning class from 8:30-10 a.m. for $30/month. In addition, Sharon Chang teaches a Tuesday-Thursday morning class from 9:30- 10:30 a.m.
