Trinity Classical Academy Brings Renowned Recording Artist Lincoln Brewster to Santa Clarita for Worshipfest '08
Trinity Classical Academy is pleased to welcome world renowned recording artist and worship leader, Lincoln Brewster, to its 3rd annual WorshipFest benefit concert. The event will be held at Grace Baptist Church in Santa Clarita, on Friday, September 26, at 6:30pm. Bring your whole family, a blanket and your meal to Grace at 5:00pm for a pre-concert picnic. Pizza and soda will be for sale and the concert will begin at 6:30pm.
Brewster is a gifted singer and songwriter and has played the drums, guitar and mandolin since the age of seven. By the age of 19, he already had a recording contract. In the mid-90’s, Brewster was lead guitarist on an album for Steve Perry, former lead singer of Journey, and toured with him for over a year. Brewster had other secular music job offers but he believed that God had something totally different in mind for him.
After moving to Nashville, Brewster signed with the faith-based label Integrity and began recording music. Meanwhile, he was helping to plant Oasis church, where he was a youth pastor and music minister. He’s also spent time on the road with fellow artist Michael W. Smith. He has a real passion for seeing people come to the Lord’s presence through worship. He’s written songs that can be heard in many of our local churches, including "Let the Praises Ring," "Majestic" and "All the Earth Will Sing Your Praises". He’s been playing and praising at venues across the country and his 6th album is due out on Sept. 23rd, titled "Today is the Day." Brewster is married to his high-school sweetheart and they have two boys.
Trinity Classical Academy’s Worshipfest brings some of today’s best Christian artists to the Santa Clarita Valley for a night of family fun and great music. Sonicflood rocked the house last year and this year’s event looks to be even bigger and better.
Trinity was founded in 2001 and has become a fixture in the Santa Clarita education landscape. In just eight short years, Trinity has grown from 28 students in grades K-2 to a current enrollment of 245 students in grades K through 9th. They have been adding one grade level per year as they strive toward their 2011 goal of becoming a K-12 Academy. Proceeds from WorshipFest provide funds for Trinity to continue its mission to provide classical, Christian education to produce young men and women of virtue, wisdom, purpose and courage.
