Six Flags Magic Mountain and Santa Clarita Valley Auto Dealers Association Sign On as VIA B2B Title Sponsors
Theme park and auto dealers team to sponsor Santa Clarita's largest business-to-business trade show June 10 and 11
VALENCIA, CALIFORNIA — The Valley Industrial Association of Santa Clarita announces Six Flags Magic Mountain and the Santa Clarita Valley Auto Dealers Association have teamed to become Title Sponsor of VIA's Business-to-Business Industry Show on June 10 and 11 in Santa Clarita. Exhibit spaces and other sponsorships are still available. The trade show is located at 26081 Avenue Hall in the Valencia Industrial Center, Valencia. Doors open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11.
In challenging times, businesses need to maximize their scarcest resources: time and money. One way to reduce costs and save time is by using local suppliers.
"Given today's economic challenges, the Industry Show gives VIA members an affordable way to showcase their business in front of buyers who are looking to find local sources," said Randy Moberg, VIA chairman of the board.
"It's a perfect fit. There has been a great deal of enthusiasm generated already for the return of the B2B show," remarked Kathy Norris, VIA president and chief executive officer. "Many companies are looking to build relationships close to their operations, since the economy has caused some to pull back and sustain themselves at the local level."
This indoor exhibition is Santa Clarita's largest dedicated business-to-business show offering a variety of opportunities for companies to connect in a professional environment. Businesses, government, education and other organizations are invited to participate. "We're looking to connect those who have needs together with those who can meet those needs," said Gary Buterbaugh, owner of High Impact Event Resources and manager of the VIA B2B Industry Show.
According to Buterbaugh, the industry show is designed to answer two questions. "First, if I'm a business, how do I find local products and services that will save me both time and money? And second, if I'm a local business that provides products and services that will save other companies time and money, how do I get those products and services in front of them?"
Beginning with an invitation-only CEO Reception on Wednesday, June 10, participating exhibitors will have an opportunity to mingle with CEOs, senior executives and community officials, while enjoying food, wine and live entertainment. The exhibit floor will be open during this event.
On Thursday, June 11, the Supplier Showcase on the exhibit floor will open to business owners, senior executives, purchasing agents, human resource managers and other decision makers interested in identifying local suppliers. There will also be designated areas for vehicle and equipment exhibits, both on the exhibit floor and outdoors. "Key industry personnel are expected to come through the show with an agenda and checklist of what they need," offered Buterbaugh.
During the show, a select number of senior executives, HR managers and purchasing agents from about 20 large companies in the Santa Clarita Valley will be available in the Backstage Connections area. These key individuals agree to allow exhibitors the rare opportunity of making a 15 minute presentation on their products and services.
A limited number of time slots will be available in the enclosed 30-seat Seminar Theater adjacent to the exhibit area for any VIA member to make a 45-minute presentation on topics of interest for businesses and organizations.
The use of local suppliers can deliver important benefits, such as competitive pricing, lower shipping costs, superior face-to-face customer service, reduced inventory costs with JIT procurement, and reduced pollution with less shipping and packaging required. Also, money spent in the community benefits the entire community.
Exhibitor registration continues until sold out; a limited number of exhibit spaces are still available. Exhibiting is restricted to VIA members and no one under 18 years of age will be admitted.
The VIA monthly business luncheon meeting will be held on site beginning at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 11. Carrie Rogers from the Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation will give the keynote address. The business luncheon is open to the public; $40 members and $50 visitors and includes admission to the Supplier Showcase. Reservations should be received by Friday, June 5. General admission to the trade show only is $5.
Joining Title Sponsors Six Flags Magic Mountain and the Santa Clarita Valley Auto Dealers Association will be the city of Santa Clarita, Poole and Shaffery, Southern California Edison, Telesis Credit Union, The Signal newspaper and Great Day Advertising.
