Sept. 12 — Rio Norte Junior High school will celebrate National Anthem day as the entire student body gathers to sing the Star Spangled Banner, led by the choir and band — 9 a.m., quad.

Sept. 18 — Placerita Junior High School Drama Department Talent Show — 7 p.m., Hart Auditorium. Tickets, $7.

Sept. 20 — The Golden Valley High School Band will hold a fund-raising pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 10 a.m. in the Golden Valley Cafeteria. Tickets are $5.

Sept. 27 — The Golden Valley High School Jazz Band and Drum Line will be performing at the Santa Clarita Street Art Festival on Main Street in downtown Newhall at 1:30 p.m.
