A Saugus man who was found guilty of the murder of his girlfriend was sentenced to 26 years to life behind bars monday.

In other court news, a Santa Clarita man pleaded no contest to a child molestation charge Monday and was sentenced to 213 days behind bars and five years of probation.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials are hosting a six-week “Community Academy” designed to provide the public with a better understanding of how the Sheriff’s Department operates.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Juvenile Intervention Team is cracking down on drugs.
