A City of Santa Clarita staffer was out at the Sports Complex on Wednesday to take a few pictures of the new Golden Valley Trail extension, which will be completed in the near future. While walking from the Sports Complex across the street to take a picture, a tremendous racket was heard.
Turns out a tiny kitten was stuck in a nearby tree. The staffer was able to get a ladder from a passing colleague in a work truck and rescue the kitten.
Back at City Hall, the wayward kitten enjoyed some milk and has already been adopted by a member of the City Managers Office. While in better spirits, the kitten is still quite vocal about the experience. Stay tuned for details on the “City Kitty” including its new name.
