Used to hike there all the time. Sadness.
it was gorgeous in the late 80s; not long after the trash and grafiti started showing up. I never went back
Yes, the trash is disgusting, but the lack of water is horrific! I hope the situation is rectified soon!

I once met a teen there who told me he had trash detail there and found it a beautiful serene place where he’s been off probation and goes there now to think. That was maybe 5 years ago!
Back in the late 60’s early 70’s we used to camp there on the creek… Zuni Campground, regular campsites along the river with Trout Fishing, some natural, not planted… Wedge

I checked it out for the first time about a year ago and was really disappointed. Graffiti everywhere, trash, and an overall sketchy vibe. Such a shame.

It was special to my children in the 80s. I remember it was a fun place to plan the afternoon to venture to. Did anyone tell the Rangers it needs cleaning?

Where is it
When I went there was trash everywhere and even dirty diapers – very disgraceful how some people think – we should always leave something better than we found it and there is a quote my 5th grade math teacher wrote on the board one day I have never forgotten “Let No Man Regret I Have Passed This Way.”
Wow, I havent been there in years. I do remember how beautiful it was. Remember seeing fishermen and walking along the rocks. It breaks my heart to hear that it has been disrespected.

I remember going there as a kid in the 80’s. Some of the best times. Took my little ones about 4 years ago but just was not the same.
you woulld want walk barefoot in the creek with all of the broken glass.
