The City of Santa Clarita maintains it’s place as the third largest city in Los Angeles County.

Congratulations to Golden Valley High freshman Jennifer Kong, who earned first place in this years Congressional Art Competition.

Racquel Turner has 60 kids, and it makes no difference to her that 44 of them are halfway around the world in Kenya.

For many students, shopping for new clothes can be an exciting part of the beginning of the school year. For others, their parents simply can’t afford to take them shopping. That’s where Assistance League Santa Clarita comes in.

TRAFFIC ALERT: The City of Santa Clarita will serve as a host city for the Wings for Life World Run on Sunday at 3:00 a.m.

Entertainment: Celebrate Cinco de Mayo on Main Street on Old Town Newhall Saturday; Local blues fans will celebrate the 7thannual SCV Blues Festival Saturday at Heritage Park; or head west on Highway 126 for the annual Ventura Beach Party on Saturday.

Television viewers can catch the SCV NewsBreak on SCVTV at the top of every hour from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., repeating the following morning at 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.
