2014 Hart of the West Powwow (Continues Sunday, Sept. 28)
Day 1 of the two-day, non-competitive Hart of the West Powwow and Native American Craft Fair was even busier than the first day of last year’s event. William S. Hart Park in Newhall was jam-packed with vendors selling everything from jewelry to Indian fry bread while members of tribes from all over the country – and beyond – danced traditional dances in the arena.
The excitement continues today (Sunday, Sept. 28, 2014) from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Come for the craft fair and the fry bread, and stay for the dancing.
Hosted by the Friends of Hart Park and the Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation.
