Heavy brush ignited in the Santa Clara river wash, behind the Promenade apartments around 3:45 Monday afternoon. A 13-year-old Placerita Junior High School student has reportedly admitted to making violent threats on social media. Hours after the Santa Clarita Valley’s only homeless shelter closed its doors for the season, Sheriff’s Station officials worked to clear out homeless encampments in Canyon Country. Community members are being asked to help shape the Arts Master Plan in Santa Clarita. Master College Guard Russell Byrd finished out his stellar senior season on a high note, taking part in the NAIA All-Star game over the weekend in Kansas City, Missouri. I agree Mari, I never said anything about anyone being drug addicts, but we live in a community that we need should not worry or fear for our kids safety. We want our girls to be able to ride their bikes through the paseo’s and bike paths without fear.
