Well, that was a whole bunch of saying nothing! LOL. Does anybody really think having more armed people walking around results in a safer environment? I thought the correlation between guns and the odds of being shot increasing were axiomatic, but what do I know? ;)
When you look at the data, legally armed citizens do significantly reduce attempts of violent crimes against them. The data is quite clear actually. We’re talking about legal gun owners being able to defend themselves against criminals who, by definition, do not follow the law. Criminals will carry guns wherever they want no matter what the law says. Prohibiting law abiding citizens from carrying them does nothing except provide a target rich environment for criminals who know they will meet no resistance.
Yes. Informed people believe just that. But don’t let that get in the way of your knee-jerk gun hating.
